Grouping and ungrouping are two options in PowerPoint that allow you to combine or separate multiple objects into one unit.

You can use these options to move, resize, rotate, align, or format multiple objects as if they were a single object to use, grouping or ungrouping.

Select the objects you want to group or ungroup. Right Click and select group or ungroup. Make sure you are right Clicking over one of the objects or press control + G to group or control plus shift + G to ungroup.

And there you go. You now have a group which you can format, move, resize, and more with complete ease.

The new group of shapes or objects will then be updated in the selection pane.
