Whether you're using a shape, a chart, an icon, or any other object, there are a few key shortcuts to help you transform the object size, rotation, and position.
Let's keep things simple and add in a shape.
To start with, open up a blank slide, CTRL + M and choose your shape alt + N + SH to increase and decrease the size of the shape or object Hold. Shift and toggle between the arrow keys.
The right arrow will increase the width, and the left arrow will decrease the width.
The up arrow will increase the height, and the down arrow will decrease the height.
This shortcut will change the shape in large increments, whereas by holding shift and control with the different arrow keys.
This will adjust the size in smaller increments.
To rotate the shape or object, hold the alt key, and then the right arrow for clockwise and the left arrow for counterclockwise in large increments, similar to the previous adjustments, by also holding control with alt + the left or right arrow key.
This will rotate the shape in smaller increments.
To move the shape or object, you simply use the arrow keys to direct the movement in small increments for precise movement, or to move a shape or object on a straight axis. In a faster movement, you can hold, shift and move the object with your mouse, and this will keep the shape or object on a straight axis whilst you move it to duplicate an object.
Press control D, or if you want to duplicate an object and keep it on the same axis, select the shape, and then press shift and control.
Then move the shape with your mouse.
