Lines and connectors are two types of shapes in PowerPoint that allow you to create diagrams, charts, or flow charts on your slide, you can use lines to draw straight or curve segments between points and connectors to link different shapes together.
To use lines or connectors, go to the insert tab and click on the shapes button. In the illustrations group, choose either lines or connectors from the dropdown menu and select the type of line or connector you want.
When you click on the tool for a line or connector, the target shape will reveal points or gray circles where you can connect to.
Then click and drag on your slide.
To draw the line or connector.
There are three main types of lines or connectors, the single line arrow, the single elbow connector, and the double elbow connector.
The options we've displayed here use straight lines, but there are other options to select from.
For curved variations, you can adjust the length, angle, color, style, end type of the line.
To do this, simply right click on the line or connector and then click format, shape, or click on the diagonal arrow In the drawing section, the format shape panel will appear to the right of your screen with a section titled line.
Here you can make specific adjustments to the width style arrow size, and more.
In the example shown here, we've changed the single arrow connector to have a dotted dash type.
