We're going to be modeling Axo if we just get a little comfortable with the company so we can visualize it.
Axo is a European, so Dutch paint, primarily creator.
It's a chemical company. It could be called a major diversified because it doesn't just do paint. It does a range of products.
You can see some of them down here.
You may be familiar with Dulux. If you're in the uk, you may be familiar with the logo, even if you're not in the UK, because it tends to take that logo, even if it calls it something a bit different.
If you are in trade for some reason, you might recognize sickens.
This is stuff like adhesives and other products that might be used by tradespeople.
And you can see they're involved in all sorts of things.
So they might do specialty coatings for F1 cars.
They might be doing specialty additives for concrete, so it doesn't crumble in this bridge, for example.
Or they could be selling you a tin of paint, as we noted before for a D iy.
So quite diverse operations.
This is reflected in the segments page.
If we collapse the grouping, you can see it eliminates a lot of the detail, and we might collapse the grouping once we're done with that detail.
And what it does is give you a good overview of the types of businesses that Axo is running.
And so here's its decorative paint.
And you could think about that as UX and associated brands.
They might be selling this directly to customers, or they could be selling on a wholesale basis, and you buy it from say, a big DRI store, and you've got performance coatings.
And this is the second stuff that we looked at just now.
And this might be the more business, business stuff.
And then you've got head office, which as you can see historically has made a bit of revenue.
Okay. But is mainly a cost center.
As we mentioned in the intro, the aim of this tab is to create totals, which will then feed into the model.
