I want to do two things here, I want to add a title to my x-axis to show that it's an implied share price And secondly, I want to have a floating line to show where the current share price is So to put that axis title in, I go up to my ribbon, I click on design and add chart element I'm going to put axis title primary vertical And I'm going to change that to implied share price Next up, I want to insert my floating share price line. So that means I'm going to need to put some extra information I'll put this over to the right hand side here I'm going to need to put figures for the x-axis and for the y-axis My x-axis figures are going to be 19.8 (which is the current share price) 19.8 And the y-axis 0 and 7, why do we have these figures? Well if we go back to the graph, we notice that there are one, two, three, four, five, six, seven different valuation methodologies And what I want, is I want a straight line between 19.8 at the the very bottom of my graph And 19.8 at the very top of my graph, point zero and 7 In order to that, we write click on the graph and we go to select data Now we can already see series 1 and 2, they're the ones that are in the graph already (as in data labels) We need to press add and we now need to give it a name and we're going to call it share price It then asks us for the series values We've already entered them, so if we go to the right hand side, they're the x values (19.8 and 19.8) Now excels not smart enough to know what we want to do. So let's we're going to have to help it, let's press"OK" And "OK" again And we've now got these new red bars, they're clearly wrong because we want a vertical bar So we're going to have right click on it to select the red bars and I want to go to "Change Series Chart Type" Now when you do this, you may end up on any one of these items on the left hand side but we want to go to the bottom one which is "Combo" Data labels for me has popped up as a line (that's a bit strange), so I'm going to put that back to a stacked bar Series 1, I also want to be a stacked bar And series 2, a stacked bar Excel does get a bit confused when we start to change things around, so you may have different things in these drop downs But if you put those three back to stacked bars and the share price at the bottom We click on the drop down Scroll down and we need to get down to X Y scatter, and it's last one there "Scatter with Straight Lines" Now I do find excel to be quite temperamental at this stage If you follow this exactly as it describes but you get something completely different Then just repeat the process again What we should have, purple bars haven't moved at all but now our red bars have disappeared (it's a little bit strange) What we now need to do is right click, select data We find that share price and we're going to edit that And we now get the correct box appear, it's already got the name share price And it's asking us for X values and Y values that we input earlier My X values 19.8, 19.8 and my Y values 0 and 7 Do be careful when you input this information, again it can be very easy to have extra cell references in there Or extra equals or extra plus signs We then press "OK", and "OK" again and there's our vertical bar You might notice that the secondary axis is now being used and it's going from zero to 8 So we just want to change that, so I just right click on that, format the axis And I want it to go from 0 to 7 Get rid of that, that looks a lot better. I can now left click on that axis and just delete that axis (I don't need it anymore) To finish up, I now just want to edit that vertical line, so it looks a bit better So I right click on it Format data series and I go to "Fill" and "Line" And I'm going to change, I'm going to change the colour to a dark grey. I'm going to change the width to 1 point And I'm going to change dash type to a dash And my floating share price line is now on screen Even better, you can link those 19.8s to your model So I'm going to change them now, I'm going to hit equals, I'm going to link them to the Tumi 1 tab And we've got the 19.18, the closing price in cell C19 I'm going to lock that And copy it down to the next cell Now if my share price were to change on the Tumi 1 tab, it would change automatically here And my floating share price line would move accordingly
