Now we're going to look at using the mouse to navigate and select text as well as something called the mini toolbar. Although keyboard shortcuts are super useful, there are times when the mouse is actually more efficient, and there are some useful features you should be aware of. A single click will select a specific point on the page. A double-click will select a word including the space to the right hand side of it. A triple-click selects the whole paragraph, and this will include any rows that are that are separated by a soft return. You can also select a whole line with one click by clicking next to the line in the left hand margin. Simply move your mouse cursor to the left until it transforms into an arrow and then left-click. So over I go, and left-click. There you go. Each time you select text using the mouse, you'll notice we activate this mini toolbar. And this provides a quick and efficient way to make basic formatting changes to the document and contain several tools that you can see on the home tab in that ribbon. Okay? Some people find this feature gets in the way, so if you don't like it and prefer to use the ribbon, you can deactivate it through the file menu. You simply go to file, options, general, and then you just uncheck this option here that says show mini toolbar on selection.
