Most of these tools are the same as formatting simple shapes as previously covered, including shape fill and outline to adjust the colours of individual segments.

The shape effects tool where you can manually add and adjust different effect, be it shadows, reflections, etc.

All of these options are the same as editing shapes and so should feel familiar.

The other tool, which again, is the same for editing shapes, is the shape styles tool.

Here PowerPoint will create default styles for the shapes in the smart art that reflect the theme colour.

The other tool able is on the left side titled shapes.

Here you can increase or decrease the size of the segments individually or as a whole, as well as change the shape of the segments if necessary.
