Inserting an image into PowerPoint is very simple, and there are a few options to do this.
If you go to the insert tab on the left hand side, there's a tab titled pictures.
The shortcut to get to this is alt + 10 + p.
The options available are this device PowerPoint will access files save to your device.
Stock images, stock image library, no image referencing required online pictures, images from the web image referencing required.
The main question you need to ask yourself when inserting an image is, where did the image come from and what are the usage rights? Or in other words, what is the license for the image? You need to be careful regarding where the image was sourced from, as this will determine if you need to reference the image, how you can edit the image, or if you can use it at all.
Using the online pictures option.
You are given a choice to use Creative Commons only imagery.
With this ticked, you can do anything you want with CC Creative Commons Materials.
With this unticked, you need to review the copyright and usage rights.
