Once you've inserted an image into your presentation, a new tab will appear titled Picture format.
Here you can perform similar editing techniques previously covered for working with shapes, including height, borders, effect, alignment, and more.
Some new tools available have their uses, but do keep in mind when creating a presentation to ensure that the design is consistent and on brand.
With the company design guidelines.
In this new tab, you can edit the colour, add artistic effects, reduce, increase the transparency, edit contrast or brightness, and add default picture styles.
PowerPoint provides default settings for these tools.
However, for greater accuracy, you can use format picture to adjust the levels to produce a custom result.
To do this right, click on an image and then select the option format picture.
Another useful tool, which we'll cover is remove background. 1.
Click on the image and remove background.
A pink highlight will now cover a portion of the image. 2.
Pink represents areas to be removed.
3. use the keep or remove tool to draw over areas to remove further or return to the image.
4. select keep changes and the image will be saved.
This can be a useful tool, however, the results aren't always as accurate as you might need them to be, and are highly dependent on the contrast between the part of the image you want to keep and the parts you want to remove.
