Next, I want shortcuts that help me to select cells. So firstly, if I want to select cell by cell, I can press and hold the shift button and then press the arrows. And that will gradually allow me to build up a selection. If I want to move a little bit quicker and do a speed select, I can press and hold, shift and control, and then I can use my arrows. So if I'm in a one and I have some numbers all the way down to a five, if I press and hold control and shift and then press the down arrow, it'll jump me from a one to a five and select all five of those cells. Let's see some examples in Excel to select cells. One by one, I can press and hold the shift button and then start tapping the arrows. So for instance, if I press down arrow, down arrow, again, you can see I am gradually building up a selection. Alternatively, if I want to go a little bit quicker, I could press control shift, hold both of them, and now press the down arrow and it selects all of those cells in that block of data until you get a gap, which we have here to demonstrate this. Again, I could do it to the right. So if I hold control and shift and then the right arrow, all of those cells, up until column I are selected. Because after that, we then have a gap in the data.
