Why say, investment banking division, maybe advisory or capital markets.
Why that rather than say sales and trading? Yeah. Okay. Um, yeah, brilliant. Sort of differentiate between what investment bankers do, which is very advisory and what sales and trading do, which are a lot of execution and there is actually linking between them.
So often with IPOs you have your investment bankers, but it will be your sales and trading team who might actually market the stock.
But in terms of me personally and why I prefer the sort of advisory side of, of investment banking rather than s and t is because it in, it entails a lot of very important knowledge about how business actually works, what business models alike, and then how you can value a company and how you can advise your clients to, to sort of achieve their long-term objectives. So I was very interested in the m and a side, talking with people about why they might wanna pursue mergers and acquisitions or maybe might, how they might want to go about raising, raising, um, raising capital through different capital markets like equity and debt and capital structure.
And I feel like that side, that advisory side had more interest to me over the very fast paced sales and trading where you are very much trying to market, um, securities.
