Maximize the power of your search with the use of advanced operators, such as phrase matching and logic. The exact phrase operation identifies terms with no deviations. Find the exact text by wrapping it in quotes. It's also case insensitive so you don't need to worry about capitalization.
The search defaults to bracketed phrase matching when no advanced operators are used. Successful matches require all of the search query terms to be within 10 words of each other. However, you can customize this by wrapping the terms in brackets and using the tilde key to specify the exact number of words the bracketed terms are from one another. You can also use multiple bracketed groups to further refine your search.
Logic operators enable you to include and exclude terms. Use the word AND between terms to list documents containing both. Use OR to find documents containing either term. Lastly, use NOT to exclude terms from your search. This is particularly useful for removing unwanted documents from your results.
