Nine times out of 10, you will be provided with a company template to build new presentations where the presentation theme colours, fonts, etc, are saved into the template.
However, from time to time, you might need to edit these components.
Say if you are repurposing an external presentation for your internal one.
To customize the colours, simply go to the slide master and click on the dropdown for colours.
From there, you can select any of the default combinations provided or input a specific set of colours using customized colours.
Here you can select and edit each feature in the presentation, be it text with background, accent, colors, hyperlinks, and more, and then input the hex codes, which refers to a very specific colour company.
Brand guidelines will contain this information on colour hex codes, and this is the best way to ensure consistency in colour usage.
The same process applies to customizing the fonts.
Click on the fonts drop down box, and then if you want to create a new group of fonts, click customize fonts where you'll then select which is the heading Font and which is the body font.
A preview is provided on the right hand side.
Again, these aspects will normally be baked into the template if it's provided to you, but if anything goes wrong with the fonts or colours used throughout the build of the presentation, this is the place to come to action Global changes to the presentation in just a few clicks.
