If we take the question, "Walk me through your CV," as an example, my advice is to break the question down into four parts. And in each, to think about the key message you want to ensure the interviewer remembers about you when the interview is over. So first, an introduction to you, a sentence or two that introduces you and your background. Keep it concise and try to include at least one fact that makes you memorable. Next, what drew you to banking? Be specific on the experiences, people, and events that caused you to decide that investment banking was of interest to you. Then, describe your continued development from the initial interest, how you built the necessary skills and experience to prepare you to enter investment banking. Think internships and work experience. Try to highlight the skills you acquired and the journey, how each experience led onto the next, as you sought to acquire the right skills that will prepare you for today. And finally, why you're applying to this firm? Why you're the right fit? And what your career goals are?
