Once you've added an animation to an object, a new panel will appear on the right hand side called the animation pane.
Here you can view, reorder, or modify the animations on your slide.
We'll start with ordering the animations.
If you right click on an animation in the animation pane, some options will appear. Here, You can set the animations to start on click with previous or after previous. Start On click means each animation will require a click to start that animation. With previous and after previous will happen automatically after a start on click.
The 2 examples we have on the slide are start on click, where each of these 4 animations will require a click to start.
And the second example, use only after previous.
And so here, as soon as you move onto this slide, the animations will begin and one will happen after the other.
With previous is means the animations will happen collectively rather than one after the other.
As you can see from both examples, a number will be displayed with the object signifying the sequencing of the animations.
Another option when you right click an animation is effect options.
Here you can customize the animation options such as direction, speed, or duration.
Some animations will have more options for editing, such as fly in where you can add a smooth start or finish or a bounce end.
We're quickly going to show you an example of applying some animations to objects on this slide.
So we've got a collection of objects and text here and here, and a header and a piece of body text here.
Let's start off by applying some animations to these 2 sections.
So let's go animations.
And what we're going to do is we're going to go for a fly in on that one.
And so hopefully once we go to the animations pane, there we are, that's there for you.
So now we're going to just go to effect options.
And as previously shown in the e e-learning video with a few animations, you get some more effect.
So with this fly in animation, you can have a smooth start or a smooth end or a bounce end.
So with this one, we're going to apply a smooth end and you can adjust how smooth of a finish you'd like.
So let's put that in. There you go. You can see it has a little bit more of a dynamic fly-in.
Let's put the same on this one.
So we're going to go over to animations.
We're going to click on this because what we want to do is have the same animation on this one as we do for this.
So let's click on this, go to animations.
And as covered in the E-learning video, we have the animation painter.
So we'll click that and a little paintbrush appears, and we'll click the paragraph of text.
And as you can see now we've got two, we've got one with a start on click, and the second on a start on click.
So what we're going to have, we're going to have this on the start and click, and then we're going to right click on this second one and go start after previous.
And so as you can see, it's now shifted.
So after this first one's completed, this one will then enter. So let's see how that looks. There we go.
That's looking nice. And so what we're going to do now is just a couple of simple fade effects on these.
So we'll select all of it and we'll go fade.
And so at the moment, we've got this, this, this, this, and this all happening with, so this is start with, so all of these as a group are happening together at the same time.
There we go. So what happens here at the moment, we've got obviously the text here coming in first and then on a second click, we've got all of this.
Now we could do the same thing with all of these, just you know, go quickly with over here and click fade.
But what I just want to quickly show you again is the animation painter.
So we can come to animations, and again, the same thing can be done here.
So we can just do that over and over again until we get the same effect.
But just to speed this up, we're just gonna quickly apply animations for the fade here and there we go.
And so just make sure that all of that group are with, and what we're gonna do for this one is go after.
So same as we've got up here, it's gonna go cycling through those.
And then after that, it's gonna cycle through this second section.
So let's play that and see how that looks. Nice. There we are. And so the final thing we're just gonna show you here quickly is perhaps during your presentation you want to show a bit more emphasis on a certain section that's already been introduced.
What we're going to do for these two, it's going to select both the logos come up to animations, and then as covered in the video previously we're going to add in an extra animation.
So we're going to go for a pulse. And there you go.
So we've got first click here, second click introduces these objects, and then on the third click we have a little emphasis on the clients.
And we could change this to start and a click.
So we emphasize these individually, but we're just going to have these start with each other.
