In summary, what have we learned from this data exploration? We've learned that some banks are more selective than others, declining a greater proportion of transactions. We also know it would be anomalous for a promoted investor to decline their invitation. We know demoted investors usually decline their invitation and that participants are more likely to decline than bookrunners. We've learned investors are more likely to commit to transactions for issuers who pay a large amount of investment banking fees, and investors are more likely to commit to transactions when they historically have earned a large share of the issuers total fees. Finally, we learned that investors are more likely to commit to larger deals where they commit to a larger portion of those deals.
