Description

Claude for PowerPoint is a Microsoft 365 add-in that builds and edits slides from natural-language prompts using your firm's template, fonts, and colours. This course covers what the tool does, how to set it up, how to prompt it well, and where it falls short for client-facing pitch material. You'll also watch a real buy-side pitch built end-to-end.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe what Claude for PowerPoint does as a Microsoft 365 add-in, including the three core capabilities, Build, Edit, and Connect, and how it differs from a standalone AI chatbot.
  2. Recognise the recommended IB workflow, building full decks in Claude.ai(opens in a new tab) desktop first, then refining in PowerPoint with the add-in.
  3. Apply the three prompting principles that consistently separate strong outputs from generic ones: anchor on success, outline before slides, and select to target.
  4. Write a strong prompt using the audience–deliverable–outcome pattern, and identify weak prompts that will produce generic output.
  5. Identify the quality, security, and compliance limits that matter for client-facing pitch material, including prompt injection risk from third-party documents and the audit gaps in non-Enterprise plans.
  6. Apply a "verify every number" review discipline before any Claude-generated output leaves your desk.
